Thoughts? The silver color is a just a tad grainy. Have you thought about shooting it through your airbrush? You might get smoother coverage, especially if you add some retardant thinner like Mr Leveling Thinner. What paint is the silver?

Thank you, John. Yeah, it could have used a bit more. I could decant and air brush, but I do not have any Mr. Leveling thinner. Never used it. We’ll see. I don’t think the nearest ohs has it.

I used that stuff before, long time ago, this is one of the only two pictures of the model I did while it was a WIP.

Then there was also the Model Master in the spray can as well, a buffing aluminum but that was a pain in the ass to work with but the results were really good. Not good enough where I want to do that again. Lyle you are a brave man with the buffing of the paint.

Kevin, that looks great. Better than mine. John, I think most of that grain is due to the painter. I what’s trying to be very light handed. This Krylon paint is really pretty nice. I will check out Mr. Leveler, too. I’ve read a lot of good comments on it.

I would not go that far... Mr Color paint and Mr Leveler work amazing. I run almost 2:1 (thinner to paint) and low pressure (15/20 psi) and it lays very nice.

A thin, thin line between brave and “what was I thinking?”
