It's all good Bruce, pathfinder was a good movie (at least I thought so). Hope your doing alright.

Like you I am anxiously awaiting paint on these details... that’s when the magic happens. Thanks again, Clint. Most of the time with armor builds my mouth just kind of opens and I make funny sounds when thinking about the myriad of parts involved in bringing all together. I love the way you sliced into the design—keep thinking of Star Wars cross sections which is for you too I think the correct analogy. Karl Urban is a bad ass both onscreen and off, in my opinion.

Well Bruce, sleep got in the way of spraying primer today. Also got a few things to do around the house first. Hope to have everything primed and painted by the end of the weekend and the base made next weekend. Then I will take the time to clean my workbench really good and pull out a easy Bandai star wars kit to reset my brain.

No worries, Clint—I worked thirteen hours today and sleep is high on my list. I feel the same right now, I have the Bandai X-Wing calling my name. I was gonna do it like the original 1976 Blue One. I sized a batch of decals to 1/72 to do it, too. Go for it. I hope you go for it.

I saw and copied photos of this fella’s perfect Falcon! I just... yes man. Yes. Yessss.

That's a beautiful falcon! I might have to get me one of the bandai kits but from all the reviews I've read the fine molds kit is still the best. You should build the x-wing the bandai kits are a nice relaxing project.

Good advice about the FM Falcon. Here’s the 1/24 Blue One model.

So went to start spraying primer and the first part the primer acted funny so I took another part wiped it down with rubbing alcohol and then sprayed it with primer and the same thing happened. The can of Tamiya primer is almost gone anyway so I will get a new one tomorrow and try again. Not sure why it decided to act that way.

Maybe that's the reason. Too much propellent along with too little paint left in the can.

That’s why I like the bottled stuff... much better control and consistency.

I've tried spraying Alclad primer before and I could never get it to shoot right out of my AB. This is the first time I have ever had a problem with Tamiya primer. Got a new can today will be spraying it again here shortly.
