Thanks, Lyle. I appreciate your vote of confidence. I started on this plan a moment ago. This will be a great interim step, and I will use some 50/50 PVA glue in areas where eventually the silver will be showing/shining through. Cheers!



Training continues. Wings still loose, hence large gap at wing root. However my plan is to use CA to attach the wing tops flush, then use the hot water/steam method to bend the lower wing upward and mate the two with tape.

Thanks, gents. Although I still have no dihedral... yet. The wing is too flat. Seeing the nice tasty dihedral present on your Airfix and Eduard kits is making me work harder to get the wings angled correctly—as the designer intended!

Thank you so much! There is a fast moving brush fire just northeast of me which began last night. So far 400 acres have burned. No orders have been given to evacuate UCLA yet. However the Westwood Recreation Center which is five minutes from me is being used as one of the shelters for those displaced by the fire itself, and roads leading north from my area are closed.

The winds should be blowing away from UCLA from where the new fire is burning... we have folks standing by for this fire and the others... always fun at this time of year...
