Nice progress, Lyle! I see that you've incorporated some washes into the interior, which is great! I think the best effect is achieved when you wipe off the vast majority of the wash and leave only the stuff that gets stuck in a recess.

What did you use an acrylic paint for your wash?

Washes are meant to be removed after drying. It's not supposed to be permanent. I use a water-based wash mixture so that it does not affect the paint surface. What did you use for a wash?

It was an AK was that was meant for green vehicles. It is water based. It was all I had.

I think AK washes can be used with mineral spirits to clean off excess.

I'll give that a try.

Sounds more like a filter or tint than a wash product. If you haven’t already sealed up the fuselage, you can give a heavy dry brush scrubbing with interior green to overcome a lot of that wash residue.

No, not yet. Been playing with my mental blocks. Oh, and glueing the tail hook back together.
