Gents! Thank you so much for your comments. I was thinking of you John actually because I feel this will be closer to the high gloss finish of a surfboard with amazingly beautiful “glassed edges.” I have also been thinking a lot about the canopy fit as well. I am not sure if I should begin with the engine next or the cockpit.

Lyle! I have to plan, though. The side entry hatch should be open! Where did you find any details of the hatch shape and operation???

The version I have had a scored outline on the inside to but tth hatch, and a hatch included on the sprue tree. Want me to measure the kit piece!

Yes. My version does not have an outline. I bet this was either added or changed or lost through the molding process! Thank you in advance!

I’ll do that in the morning.i can send you the piece I cut out, too, if you want.
Spent this morning making and masking the wheel struts and started on the decals.

There was an article in one of the model magazines that I read about this. He scratchbuilt a new hatch for the side.
