Smooth as a baby’s bottom. Well done!

jkim wrote:Paint looks nice and smooth! I use paper masks too but it can be tricky to maintain a consistent distance between the mask and painting surface. If that's not consistent, you'll get some variation in the hardness/softness of the color demarcation.
Many thanks John,

I also noticed that the distance with the paper and the surface plays a big role, but it also gives a lot of possibilities. Must experiment more !

Thanks Clint, something came in between so a short time-out with the build before next update.. :bored:

Didn’t that cat know that that is what the kid’s sandbox is for?

Have been adding some decals, added some oil washes, dry brushing etc..

The Tamiyas Mark Fit decal solution might be slightly too strong, the decals have broken slightly... Decal still curing in the picture.
So, Xtradecal - decals and Mark Fit is a no-go for me from now on..

Oil washing (Burnt Umber & Lamp black )

The result painting with Mr Paint colors, gives a pretty good "ready to wash" type surface, making oil washing quite entertaining

Masking the tail, rudder will be painted blue. Of course, would have been smarter to pain the rudder _before_ it was attached to the tail, to save uneccessary masking... :bag:

And this is the status of Anita. In the picture visible also the propeller spinner, painted red.

Hmm, this build could actually be part of the GP build "Yellow Nose, Green Nose, Blue Nose, Red Tail"

Need to start focusing on the landing gears and all the details..
