Did you ever wonder how those signs in buildings, parks, etc. always know where you are? You know, "You are here" markers. Anyway, here I am in this step. I think this is day 4?
And, I have lost my flippin' mind. I masked off the strap and drain plate on the fuel tanks. Why? I don't know. I do plan on a different type of metallic finish on those. They are sprayed with rattle can Krylon Original Chrome.

They might know, but do you? Do we? Are you sure?
I vote for chrome straps with black rubber trim.

The straps are gonna be a flexible metal, so chrome plating would flake off. But the rubber padding between the straps and the tanks is a definite standard.

Nah, it works, Carlos. It does require real chrome plating and high tensile steel that won't stretch. The kind of Chrome you usually get won't work though, I'll give you that. Flakes off with the slightest bend. A real chrome bumper for a heavy truck costs twice as much as the usual kind. Been there, done that. Bought the cheap chrome bumper but the tank straps are original to the truck, a 1976 model W900 series.

Great truck!
I guess I’ll try a sharpie or a paint marker to trace around those straps. Now, Molotov or BMF?
