I had insomnia last night, so wilst I was up I got the Eagle finished ready for painting, and I also started to move the Tomcat up to the stage...



I've not fitted the nose yet, as I'm waiting for a new pot of liquid gravity. The clear parts are also not fitted as I am polishing out a mould line.

It doesn't need too much, just a bit in the radome.

I managed to sand out the mould line on the canopy and have dipped it in future - annoyingly it's got a rather large crack down it, but I'll just have to ignore it.

so what with having a really nasty cold over the weekend, and a fair lump of insomnia, I've managed to make some progress on these three.

The F-16A has had the wheels fitted and a post decal gloss coat. I'm not sure now whether or not to give it a matt or satin coat, what do you guys think?



I've also finished the Eagle and Tomcat as much as I can before paint - priming next.









I need to decide on a scheme for the Tomcat, I was going to go white and grey with H-gh-viz markings, but I don't have any radome buff paint - so I might have to go all over grey.

Nice work on the Viper, Tomcat and Eagle. I'd go with a flat coat on the Viper.

Thanks to the madness of the past few weeks (we've finally sold our house - but haven't found anywhere to live yet, and it took me over two weeks to shake off that damn cold) I've not really fancied working on my aircraft builds much, so the trio of teenagers hasn't progressed since the last post.

I have however been working on my Warhammer 40K APC, finishing up the painting and decaling. This is what it looked like, and has looked like since last year (I started this about 2019...)



And this is it now...







I've still got a bit to do, including touching up that loading ramp. The Microsol has only just been applied, so once that's dried I may give it another blast of clear, and then I'll do some drybrushing to highlight the edges (as per Warhammer style) and some chipping and mud. I also have a few extra bits of stowage to add - painted red of course, as all good sci-fi tanks are.
