Agreed - the 1/72 P-51B is a great little kit.

Would love to do a 1/72 kit, but it would probably end up being a 3rd entry. I love the1/72 jets they pantographed down from their 1/48 counterparts--especially the Phantoms. Don't think my OCD/AMS side would let me finish one in time though, plus I have a nearly complete 1/72 F-4J I have to finish up first. Might stop by the LHS and see if they have any of there 1/72 P-51B stash remaining... Then again, I could try to acquire a 1/72 B-25H... good memories of that kit...

Two thoughts on the 1/72 kits, Carlos.
The 737, like the 1/48 F-111, were originally Aurora kits and ought not to be recognized as legit by the Don.
The other is, for anyone concerned about build time, the A-1E should be seriously considered as it is probably the quickest to build of what is on Scalemates. Here is one from my misspent youth.

Nice to still have kits from your youth. I could probably only track down one of mine, an OTAKI BF109G-6, that I believe is at my brother's house in VA.

John, you’re quite right about the pre merger Aurora kits. I hate to say it, but those are out of the running. But I will say I do like your old “misspent youth” SPAD. I built a couple of those long ago, but none survived to be photographed…

I did a do-over on a Monogram 109E, with a resin interior and other such, but somehow it was not satisfying as it just changed the nature of the kit too much. I am also seeing a pattern, also in theP-51B that I am just starting, that while the kits are shaped well, they do have some variances, As with the 109, the canopy and cockpit are somewhat undersized compared to the Tamiya or Hasegawa kits which in the case of the 109 made it a royal pain to use an aftermarket interior and canopy. I tried to fit a vac canopy on the P-51B which was sized for the Tamiya kit and it was nearly 3/32 too long.
I have kits in the stash for most of the old Monogram kits and it is more fun to start with a fresh kit. Even with the shrunken wing root on my original P-51B kit I am too attached to it after all these years to do anything to it. Call me stupid, and you would most likely be right.
The 109E before rebuild, after rebuild, and one my eldest granddaughter built.

Love those 109E's John. There is nothing wrong with having a nostalgic attachment to a kit. I was considering that one (as well as the P-51B for this GB). I don't have either in my stash though , but keeping an eye on xbay for a good deal
PS I loved that 109E kit when I was a kid. A cool yet odd kit for me. I could not get my young brain around the weird geometric cammo, and why did the blue go nearly all the way up the fuselage? It was unlike anything I had seen before.
