Duke Duke Duke
Thanks so much. I was feeling a bit frustrated with my progress, but you cheered me up. Working the compound curves is a lot of trial and error and its cool that the sides don't really match up, but not cool when you're trying to recreate the same effect on each one.

I'm going to have to go out and get a new batch of popcorn at this rate...
I'll go on my trusty horse.

Thanks, Carlos and Stuart. I’m doing this the hard way, that’s for sure. I have a brand new WnW Sopwith Camel that’s going to be an easier project because of all the mistakes and corrections I made on this.
When I was a wee lad I had the thought that it was best to buy two kits of each model so you could get a handle on the whole project before committing to the final results. That’s not simply dry fitting; it’s everything.
Of course then as now this is impractical. WnW kits are so overpriced right now it’s ridiculous. Building this is as close to pre-building as I could get.
I will have to take a break from this as I don’t have the right sandpaper to complete the job. I’ve been looking for free sandpaper online but not finding any.

I just, today, got sandpaper. 50 sheets of various grits.
What do you need?

What I need are the fine grits—320, 400—and superfine grit of 800. I have run out of everything and foolishly didn’t stock up when I had the coin. Do you any of those? Right now I’m using a nail file and two scraps of 2500. Let me know, Lyle. Thanks.

It truly is. I’ve not seen a recent build elsewhere, mainly because of 1/32 Wingnut Wings kits.

I agree, Bruce. WnW are stupidly priced. I’d love to try my hand on one of their kits especially a Fokker tri wing
