That's a very nice bit of cockpit work Kari - very nicely done!

You certainly achieved a better result than I did!

Thank you John, I truly value your words, but without your build (which I find very nice) I would never have had the energy to start the build!

Work goes on rather smoothly. I have started to have some challenges with fits.
Nevertheless, the build starts to look like a P-51D.
But I had an annoying mishap with masking the canopy...
Who on earth makes these kind of instructions??
When I had masked the inside of the canopy, I only realized that the interior masks are "below" and the exteriors "above" on the masking sheet. I bet I am not the only one who made this mistake.. Not really user friendly.
Let's see what next!

That's annoying but I'm sure you'll get it sorted!

Main paintwork ongoing, have been black basing / priming the fuselage, except the front that will be yellow.
Read somewhere that lime green is actually a good primer for yellow, so will try that. Looks sort of good with a lime green cowling, spinner etc

I'll be interested to see how the yellow turns out over a lime green base. I have had good luck using white or yellow zinc chromate as a base for yellow myself.

Agreed, that looks a really interesting method.

I haven't seen that one before. Can't wait to see it.
