Not at all. Especially with the Super Super Hornet given the green light. It'll have the conformal fuel tanks, the same type of touch screen instrument panels, IRIS-T, new engines.

Not much going on with Mr. A-10. Mojo is waning, must resist. No room for another on the Shelf of Someday. Must resist. Doing some touch-up painting and sub-assemblies today. My thoughts on this kit so far?

Not sure how old the mold are, but a lot of mold seams on parts. I guess that is somewhat normal.

Fit of the major parts isn't too bad. It is a nice size a/c for 1/48.

Instructions suck. Really suck.

For Revell, a lot of fiddly parts. For example, there are 14, yes 14, for each main landing gear. For crying out loud.


Putting this thing together is like driving to Florida from Kentucky. You head out and in a bit you hit Georgia and think, "I'm almost there. Next state is Florida" but, GA goes on and on.....that is a long state. Then you hit Florida, whew. Almost there. Nope. It is longer than Georgia. ....on this - you get the main pieces together and think that this won'g be so bad. Ha. Welcome to Georgia.

This thing was "oh so close" to becoming a spot on the wall this morning. Had to deconstruct the nacelle with the loose nozzle disc. Landing gear giving fits. it is 12 degrees Fahrenheit (-11C) this morning and my knee is aching. Oh, my coffee cup is empty. Pfffftttttttttttttttttttt.

There, I feel better. Yesterday and today have been stunningly beautiful, but quite cold. Some of the bluest skies you can imagine and not a cloud around. That is supposed to change later today.

I remember days like that in Hokkaido. Air so cold it makes your ears hurt within a few minutes.. Irish coffee helps...
