Thanks Carlos! I was not ever gone... just taking a break from one hobby to concentrate on another.

Speaking of these two hobbies, my wife called me the other day to show me this scene from a Netflix series called Flipped. I have no idea what the show is about but this particular scene shows an auction fundraising event at a school. Girls bid on boys who will accompany them on some sort of date or activity. Little Eddie Turlock is introduced as a young lad that is obviously very low on the totem pole of desirability. The screen shots show the actual dialogue... I didn't add those!

When my daughters were in elementary school, I asked them, "would you rather be a nerd or one of the popular kids?" I told them to look at this this way. If you are popular, you do what other people like to do. If you are a nerd, you do what YOU like to do.
