Thanks guys.

Carlos, the only figures i have left from those sets are wearing respirators. I am going to try and pick up a set or 2 along with some of the Hasegawa set with figures. I know they are US but they can be made to work, i have used most of them up as well.

Blacksheep, lots of lots of shelf space.

John, i certainly will. I am hopeing that will be done by June as i will be taking my 4 Falklands builds to the model club that night as June is 40 years since the end of the conflict. the shelf its now on is just about big enough to ad the Valiant and the Vulcan.

Outstanding build, Bish. I think it's a beautiful aircraft and looks exceptional in that scheme.

Jeez, really fast, 40 years ago!
Still remember the sort of blurred black and white pictures of the conflict in the newspaper. At that time, no internet, no smartphones or digicameras. The news material was delayed or simply not avaible easily,

I was 12-13 at the time. I think it might have been the first time I heard of the Sea Harrier

I remember right as the Falklands was winding down, the 1982 Lebanon War kicked off. It was a very life on the edge time. All sorts of guerrilla wars in Africa and Central America, plus two major mid intensity conflicts… communist backed terrorist cells in most NATO countries… Afghanistan for the Russians… Iran/Iraq… and of course the ongoing Cold War nuclear alert forces…
