Thanks guys. Considering this was my first ever 1/700 scale waterline kit I’ve done, it was a fun build, yet challenging due to the size to build. Lots of tiny parts - especially the aircraft floats. It did test my patience to go slow and be extra careful. Worth it. The biggest challenge was scratch building the missing key parts and the rigging itself.

I would love to get the 1/350 scale Mogami Cruiser but they’re pricey - $160 or more depending on the store. I’ll be watching for price drops and sales. Scalehobbyist has it on sale for $140 but that’s still a little too pricey for my budget.

Would I do another 1/700 scale waterline kit. Why not?

Back before WWII during fleet visitations; the British admiralty also thought so. When one Japanese heavy cruiser visited England on a good will cruise, one admiral was heard to say: "Now that's a fighting ship!"
