Happy Easter All

I went on a Easter family Sunday Drive around the Conwy Valley here in North Wales and the neighbouring hills to visit some 13th Century Churches and a rather nice Artisan Fair near Bodnant Gardens in Conwy.

The First was The Church of St Mary in Caerhun - built right in the centre of the Conwy Valley, on the site of Canovium, one of the main Roman Forts in North Wales.

The next one was St Digain's in the village of Llangernyw in the foot hills of the Clwydian Range.

A lovely little church, but not as wonderful as the 4000 year old Yew tree next to it - yes you read that right - 4000 years. It's officially one of the oldest living things on the planet. If you think about it this tree was a sapling during the Bronze age...

Overall it wasn't a bad way to spend an Easter afternoon.

Oh and I've done some modelling - I've finished the trio of Spitfires I was building.

Airfix mk.I converted to a PR mk.IV

Airfix mk.I converted to a Mk.II LR using the old (sadly out of production) 3D-Kits mk.II conversion set along with the LR Conversion set.

So that's four Spitfires in the space of two months.... I have to say I maybe a bit Spitfired out now - Time to build something else LOL!

Cheers again and Happy Easter!
