Thanks so much, Carlos! I just saw your “Splash Two” thread and read the online story! Katherine Ross! What a beauty! Also, very interesting reading about fueling requirements and a converted Mitchell used as a filming platform! Yes, my holiday was a bust. I hope yours was alright, though!! Did you get any grill time? My highlight was a strong espresso at 5:30 pm. I was sick to my back teeth and needed a break from bailing sewer water out of my tub. Also it was weird, disheartening, frustrating that the plumber showed up then said he was going to make a call and never returned.

I should have kept my mouth shut Don't get me wrong - I DO choose builds of subjects that I like, I'm just more likely to build that subject in whatever old kit that takes my fancy. Quite often though, I'll choose a build just because I want to see what a certain kit is like - the B-25 is one of them.

Specialists, doctors, even witch doctors are useful, Stuart. I’m sitting in a dentist waiting room decorated with Native American Indian art and massive fish tanks. Everything is Pixar or Disney... so sorry to hear there are rocks and shoals about you at the moment. Steer for true. Keep steady on. Stay focused, motivated and mindful. I think I must have seen all three over the years - I'm pretty certain that if I had a spirit guide - it's gone on holiday. I'm staying my usual happy demented self though.

Hope the dentist can fix the problem. Amazing how much pain can reside in a little toothy. Not fun.
I'll have to take back my comment on those B-25 sprues. I thought I was looking at the 1/32 HK kit! Given that it is a 1/72 Mitchell, the panel lines aren't THAT bad and the soft details in the cockpit can be forgiven.
I like that Mustang color scheme! Looking forward to seeing more work on it!
I'm STILL not in the modeling mood. Right now, I am contemplating fishing tackle and am embarking on a little mission to soup up a reel that I just bought.

Thanks so much for following—and I sincerely appreciate your words about getting this tooth fixed. I am looking forward to drawing the paneling lines in graphite on the fuselage. It looks like I will have to reduce the raised engravings before beginning, but I did stop at the local art store just now for new Staedtler “Mars Lumograph” pencils. Having tried so many types, these remain my favorite.
