Hah! I had to look up “Mave Tomcat.” Ya know, the sequel to “Top Gun” is coming to theaters in 2019. Are there specific decals? I know “Furball” makes 1/72 Tomcat decals. Let me know!

Testors did kits of all the Top Gun aircraft for the movie: Maverick’s Tomcat, Jester’s Skyhawk, and the F-5/MiG. I still run across them on eBay.

I built the F-14 Tomcat with Maverick's markings. I still have it on the shelf.

That sequel should be interesting...

Mave's Tomcat needs to wait.

Now to a carry-over from last year. F-86 by Matchbox. Fuselage and wings are glued. Currently working to scratch a cockpit. The pilot got paint and his job will be to cover a lack of details. LOL.

Update: Cockpit finished, canopy closed, time to scratch an intake cover to avoid a brilliant view onto cockpit underside.
