John—great to hear from you! I hope you are well and thank you you so much for the information on the sale. One corner of my living room resembles a model shop presently with stacks of kits and boxes of supplies. There is a film project I am working on both as a designer and director that will feature some designs which harken back to the early Eighties. We are currently building the Hero Starfighter which will be used in a crash sequence to be filmed with drone cameras.

This month is really full with this work, regular post house editorial work and even a friend from high school arriving in a week to spend three days in Los Angeles! Switching hats every few days is pretty amazing, but I have not lost faith in this project.

One personal build—six months, I suppose—I’d like to see this fly in December.

Before the Ultracast sale, I was considering ZM’s limited edition pilot figure. I still am.... Radu sells ZM Mustang Pilots on his store, too, which is a strong endorsement of quality and the kind of close relationships the company forms with model builders.

Wow, amazing pics here Bruce. Congrats on landing that film gig. I like the looks of that starfighter already. I guess this means you'll be too busy to attend Orangecon on the 13th of October. That's okay; with the slow recovery I'm experiencing here; I don't even know if I'm going to make it.

Keep up posted on this and other projects Bruce; you are living such an amazing and exciting life!

My thoughts and prayers are always with you and the little blue plane with folding wings, too. I just wanted to add, sincerely, 'We are all in this together; all of us.' We truly are. This would be the part where Carlos would post a tea party picture from Alice in Wonderland and he is right of course. There is a dash of madness to making something (or I will write this from my perspective, it's my belief) and that's a very good thing to bring to the table. I just would like some chairs to go with the table, literally and figuratively (mainly literally in this case since I don't have a lot of chairs), but again most sincerely, I think the world of your ability and your willpower to finish what you start and I know that you're going through tough times, the toughest of times, but you have some great friends here and I would like to think I am amongst them. You have a lot of support. From what I am seeing, your outlook and your output remain so strong you put me to shame, and I have a lot to learn from your ability to make your way through a project from beginning to end—really amazing journeys your projects take—and come out with finished modeling goodness. Your finish what you start—and that is an honorable lesson to learn since (again I will write from my experience) there are so many distractions!
