Thank you guys! Especially for the photo-repair on this thread... greatly appreciated! Almost time for painting but I have another project in process and also... a fishing trip coming up on Wednesday! I haven't fished at all this year so I'm excited to finally get out again.
Good info on the cutters. Still haven't committed to buying a third pair... yet. The DSPIA ones look really nice.

Re small tools I am certain anything packaged so well is formidable when used. I will still take the Pepsi challenge with God Hands vs those pretty puppies any day.
Unfortunately with the vintage Hasegawa, most of the parts were already cut so I have not been able to showcase these cutters.
What happens next with G-6???

I have a date with my favorite lake... Barrett Lake in San Diego County.
The G-6 is just about ready for paint. I need to lay down a RLM 74/75/76 base camo down first.

I just bit the bullet and ordered a pair from Hobby Easy in HK. Also got a new DSPIAE drill set (0.3 to 1.2mm) for reasonable price.They are winging their way to us as we speak.

Incremental process on the G-6. The under surfaces of some of the wing parts were painted. First, I applied my customary black mottle preshading.
Then the Light Blue RLM 76 was applied. The blue is heavily thinned (about a 4:1 thinner to paint ratio) and slowly built up to allow a bit of the preshading to show through. This is a preview of how the airframe will be painted.

Yeah buddy! Great catch! Glad to see you had a nice time catching out there. That lake looks beautiful.
I do a little bass fishing myself. I also like fishing for reds. I fly fish for them, as well as using conventional gear. LOL I fool them any which way I can and when that doesn’t work, I feed them.
