Man this is looking great Bruce and I applaud your efforts on the flaring. I've learned to be careful in going too far with the mods though. It can be a bit overwhelming at times.

Joe and Kari,

Thank you both for reading and your replies!!! I take what you wrote Joe very much to heart, having tried to push the 50 year old AMT Enterprise kit to the level of a modern Polar Lights version. It’s certainly possible but is it worth the time? Regarding that project, it was worth the experience, to learn how to fill seams. That was really what the project was.

This project reminds me of the E. Certainly the plastic does! Very hard and hard to polish out, and I want to thank you, Joe for all of your tips on polishing! A huge boost!

I am going to build—not modify—a Shelby Daytona race hood out of Evergreen card... just to see if I like where I am heading here, and before I start adding the two upper scoops to the rear quarter panels. I already cut the basic form which I will need to refine. However I am doing this in a slightly more relaxed way because I will let mistakes happen with fabrication.

Frankly, that advice about not becoming overwhelmed is my mantra...

ACTUAL

That Vee is sculpted on each side. Nice. Plus whatever that extra added spoiler bolted to the front is curvilinear. Yay!

AND THIS IS REALLY GOOD

“Fix it mild! Fix it hot!” That applies to the build here.
