Thank you, I've kinda found a method I like and have stuck with it, I do like to try out new things on every build. On this one I will be using some of Vallejos diorama building materials.

Thank you Stuart, I've borrowed over the years bits and pieces from what I've seen others do and combine them into something that works for me. The dot filters I learned from a modeler named Bill Plunk I believe, he has a lot of builds in multiple magazines

Been a bit since I updated this.
First spent a few days painting the figures, all but the last two on the right came with this orange box release and have really soft detail like a lot of older Dragon figure kits.


Then put the tires and roadwheels on I'm happy that I took the time at the start of the build to make sure they will sit flat on the tracks. Speaking of the tracks I had to add 1 link to the left side and 2 to the right side.


After that I started working on making a wire frame tree. Here is the wire frame being covered with miliput.

Then added some small twigs into the miliput to fill it out a bit more. Then using some TP and diluted white glue to give it a bark texture.

It only took three squares to cover the tree or in todays prices around $12.50

Got started on working on the base. It's carved Styrofoam covered in Vallejo Thick Mud, first time using this product. It says it have vegetation in it but I haven't found any. While it was still wet I scattered some reality in scale ground cover over and gently tapped it into the ground work. I also took some of the thick mud and diluted it down a bit then using a old brush I shot air through it with my airbrush to make mud splash marks onto the 251. I'm going to let this all dry before moving on

Seeing that wet mud gives me memories of Ft Polk and Hohenfels... especially the latter... that looks pretty damn good.

Bruce and Carlos thank you so much! Bruce these guys aren't that special and the detail is really soft on them, but on my next armor build I'm going to use some really nice resin figures from alpine and I'll show my entire figure painting process.
