Wow. I think that is why I don’t like German camo. My poor old brain has trouble with them...especially the splinter scheme. Well done.

Lyle and Carlos, thank you both! I'm not sure if it's the Mr. Leveling thinner or the new nozzle and needle or maybe all three but it was the most enjoyable airbrushing I have done in a long time.

I was going to start airbrushing the black today but the more I looked at the scheme I changed my mind.
The original plan was to use Maketar masks and airbrush the crosses on the top wings and fuselage but since they get sprayed over in black and using the Maketar masks is a big headache to get lined up I decided to just use the decals.
first I brushed on just a little future where the few decals I'm doing go. Then the decals went down with a few applications of Micro Sol. After that dried for a few hours I took some 2000 grit and hit the edges of the decal to feather them even more but they are so thin I don't think I needed to. The fuselage crosses didn't get sanded yet but just got another application of Micro Sol.
Maybe around midnight I can start painting the black.

I got the black underside painted along with the blacked out markings.
AK Real colors RLM74/75/76(Version 2) was used along with Tamiya Flat White and Nato Black
