Tan Magic missiles look good Tom. How difficult are they to assemble?

Those missiles look fun Tom. Excellent work on the painting.

Not hard actually. Used the hobby saw to remove the main missile body from the block (tail end). Fins I used my nippers since they are thin. Sanded off the excess. There’s notches for the front fins on the main body so it takes the guesswork figuring out the exact spot they go. I used CA glue as recommended per directions.

Once the missile is off the block, there’s very thin flash on the tail fins. Very easy to sand off.

Started on the Matra R-530 missiles. The Brassin kit:

These are attachment points for the pylons that's included in this kit.




The pylons. I won't be using them since I used the kit's pylons.

The resin is pretty soft and easy to work with. As you can see, the block has been removed. I slowly sawed each side to keep it straight before finishing off the block straight down. Konda like a guide so i dont cut crooked.




Next, I removed translucent flash off the find with my fingers. Easy clean up. Almost no sanding needed.




Now I need to sand down the excess nub. Sand carefully and straight. Work it slowly.

Next, the fins. I nipped the block in half separating each fin.




I used my nippers to remove them from the blocks.



I used my Xacto knife to clean up the excess flash. Very easy. Then I lightly sanded the bottom edges.



This is one of the notches for the fins.




That's all for tonight since its getting late and my eyes are getting tired. The last thing I need is a glue mishap. Will resume tomorrow hopefully.

Those look very nice Tom, they'll look great once painted up.

I commend you on your efforts, I can never work up the enthusiasm for load outs, which is why my F-15 and F-14 have stalled - I'm sure I'll get there.

LOL @ Stuart. That’s the best part... deciding on the load out. Depending on the aircraft - I like them fully loaded, locked and ready to roll, others minimal load.

Well that's the thing, so do I! I just never seem to be able to work up the enthusiasm to get started on them
