Great question! I was planning to use a piece of plastic card fitted on an angle inside. Here is a paper mock-up of what I was going to do. The final piece would be painted dark gray or black. You can also just make out the putty I threw on the inside to lock the drive shaft pieces firmly in place. Thanks for your question!

Looking good Bruce! I always like to use card stock to mock up areas I build out of styrene sheet, it's a lot easier to get the correct shape that way

Thanks so much, Clint. I agree with you completely about making a paper or cardboard pattern as a mock up. That’s such a good way to try out different ideas as well!

Tamiya’s White Primer is ruthless when it comes to exposing defects; and I like it so much more then grey at the moment. Things are good. I chopped off the rear locking tab on the top deck, filled in a couple of spots on the glacis so I can add stowage and a tow cable, added a smidge of putty to the corner ends (visible in the rear view) where the body shell meets the rear plate. Onward.

Thanks, Carlos! I remember thinking that same thought when I saw Flory of the Washes build a Schwalbe with white primer. The color made the jet look like a spacecraft, which is cool, but it takes getting used to—I have grey but “A wild hair you know where” just made me reach for the white. If I’m going to be heretical as a modeler, I may as well embrace every idiosyncratic form of behavior. It does make defects POP!
