Now that I’m back home and have a few days off before getting back to work, I had some bench time. Yesterday I applied a gloss coat for decals, and today was application of decals.

I just need to do a bit more detail painting, flat coat, then final weathering.

That is looking stellar! Very cool. You have to be close to finishing this one no?
Thanks,

Thanks John. Yes, this one should be all wrapped up in the next little bit. Just some detail painting, flat coat, and weathering, plus the few final bits like the antennas… of course this doesn’t count the crew figures…

Thanks Tom!

Well, today was more progress inching it ever closer and closer to the finish line. First up I airbrushed on a flat coat…. then I added the antennas, got most of the detail painting done, glued the drivers hatch in the open position, and added the antennas…

I just need to detail paint a few more items, add some tie down cords to the forward antennas, then do the final weathering….

Very cool vehicle, especially with all that stowage on it. If I had something to nitpick, it would be the brush strokes on the armored glass.
But that may be caused by the lighting.

:hmm: Yeah I’m not too happy with that either…. The paint doesn’t exactly brush on flawlessly… But overall it’s not too bad.

But thank you for the honest critique and feedback Torben

That is quite impressive work! Great detail.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

It looks great!

What kinda paint did you use for the armored glass? Maybe apply it with a toothpick? That's what I've done before.

Bravo, Carlos! I caught up to your last post and learned quite a few lessons—very interesting how brown primer as a base helps make the colors come to life (as though these were painted on a metal oxide primer). And to use enamels for details such as stowage was also very interesting!
