New canopy for Red13

Annnnd I got these babies up on their feet yesterday. Wheels and covers added, both reinforced with strategic drops of CA. A little paint touchups in the area, Future coat. A few views...

White 16...

Need to do some weathering to the gear. Canopies are just resting in place, I'll add them after the dullcoat has been laid down. Only a few fiddlybits left. Just realized last night, these both need gunsights?

Nope, not at all. My thinking though - the red was field-applied as a recognition aid for the AA gunners. How often would the AA gunners ever see the top of the drop-tank?? So I left the upper half in RLM76, just to start the debate.

Actually, now that I've gone looking again, I can't find original photos of JV44 machines WITH a drop tank at all. Which, I suppose, would make sense, considering these machines were only being used for airfield defense. Extended range would be of little use to them.
