Those are great choices, Kari, as well as a great photo! I love arcs and elliptical motifs. The reason I was thinking about quick drying oils would be usage. How long do oils take to cure?

I also use oils; Windsor Newton oils mixed in Mona Lisa thinner for my washes. They dry fairly quickly. I mix them in empty Tamiya Extra Thin glue bottles so I can use the glue applicator for applying pin washes. Since Mona Lisa thinner is the most inert thinner, it won't attack any paint at all no matter what medium it is; as long as the paint is dry of course. I have three colors too: black, light brown, and dark brown (umber)

Thanks for your words, the discussions here and everything. I missed to update, sorry guys.

Here is what happened during the last weeks.
Phantom filled and bad fitting underside disarmed.

The seat of my Ouragan is now set into cockpit.

I also worked with my son on a little diorama for his big cats.

Main progress on the Matchbox Sabre. Old decals work and I tried the first time this chipping stuff by AK interavtive. Great tool.

Re your Sabrejet

Is there an antenna “blister” on this particular model? Forgive me for not knowing the answer. However the one I have seen at the Smithsonian has a painted antenna right on top of the nose.

That blister on the upper intake lip is the radar for the gunsite. It is a simple rangefinding radar. I believe that all gun armed F-86s had this radar.
