Can not wait until a first makeup, aka layer of matt primer has been added on "them". The reflecting light does not really bring the full beauty visible, but still even in this modus, they look very nice indeed!

Oh wow, multi media figures... that’s a new one to me. I agree about getting some primer in them to having him look uniform and get a real gauge on how the figure looks.

First—thank you Kari and Carlos for following along as well as for your comments; after eighty pages of planning mostly, with a lot of fitting and much use of Tamiya tape, this has to feel or at least feels so for me as a milestone. Just getting here was a challenge.

Second—well spoken and spotted about the difference a metal head makes within a reading of how the figure looks. Since I have been watching the reboot of Battlestar Galactica I see Cylons everywhere but especially here when I catch a glimpse of the figure’s head. Not to worry, he will be in primer soon enough.

Third—my plan is to use my Testors enamels and my very best and unusual brushes from Japan to begin figure painting soon!

10/28 EDIT: When I opened my paint bin, I noticed that the Testors enamels were "skinned over" and the pigments separated... I suppose a good stirring will bring 'em back to life, but I took the initiative and ordered a bunch of Humbrol enamel tins... since I see such great results here from Carlos and Stuart. Plus, Humbrol makes metal and leather colors which will be useful for figure painting.

Curious... how were you to trim excess metal? I'm assuming it's made of soft aluminum? My guess you used a strong CA glue to attach to body? It does look pretty awesome though....

White metal figures are usually made from an alloy. I think it may include zinc, tin, or perhaps even lead. They are heavier feeling than aluminum of a similar mass. The metal is soft enough to do clean up work on using standard needle files and xacto blades.
