Yes, you definitely did, so much, much closer. I thought we needed side by side comparison to establish a baseline for whether or not the grey itself was “cooled” or “lightened” or both! Cheers!

Re: Bolleken's 1:72 stuff
There are some variables at play in those actual photos. The top one is an overall gray, so it may be a different light gray altogether. Look at the gun fairing, it’s not white.
In the lower two, those do have the white gun fairing, so they are the earlier scheme. But compare the skies, hazy sunshine vs clear blue, with each having a different look on the topside gray as a result.
We can only get so close in our efforts for reproduced color accuracy...

I learn so much photo analysis from you, Carlos! I was trying to find the highest rezzed image at 2 in the morning... but what you wrote, in analysis, was super! Thank you so much!

Hughes Racer! I never found one 1/72 or 1/48... May be the time to scratchbuild in 1/32.

Thanks, Marius—I went looking for these kits awhile back but I came up with nothing. Nada. Bupkiss. Nichts? I will keep looking!

Most impressive! That color does look better.
