Ouch!

That decal looks really weird, like some gas is forming under it, very weird indeed!

Yup, to attach landing gears, pitots/ antennas and other similar stuff as late as possible, is also my may!

Too many broken hearts, I mean too many broken parts (hehh, it rhimes!)

:that:

Leave off all the most breakable stuff until after decals for final assembly.

You may be able to fix the gear by drilling and pinning. Another option I sent to see if Eduard makes Brassin landing gear as an aftermarket accessory.

We’ll see how good the Tamiya Extra-Thin does. If it doesn’t work out, I’ll remove both, drill-out where they seat, and install new ones, yeah.

Oh, and Kari, here’s what I think happened with that decal.

See, I’d also installed the little appendage that goes under the wing there (I think it’s a pitot tube) -and balances, ho-ho!- before I started painting and decaling. And it just so happens that that cross has the thing sticking down, out of it. SO, before I cut the decal from the backing, I cut out a small area through which to fit the thing, and then filled the area in with black paint. That is probably how some water and other stuff got in there, along withthe fact that I didn’t use setting solution, probably caused the problem.

I can be an idiot sometimes. And this is my third model. I’m learning LOL

If you learn from the this project and apply it to the next one, then it was not in vain.

Yessir, and then apply the lessons you’ve learned on the next one to the one after that, and just keep on going and learning and enjoying the process.
