Those are post Cold War in the new flecktarn uniforms. The olive colored uniforms had different details. Valkyrie Miniatures makes some very nice resin figures, but they are pricey! And of course there is the older Verlinden set, but again those have gone up in price now as well, now that Verlinden has ceased production.

Apologies—I just thought they looked the business and despite what you wrote about Cold War I think googled the Bundeswehr part and left out the part about the Cold War... don't try diagramming that sentence, I think it would explode... too many Cold Wars or something or too many cold ones.

No worries Bruce. I still have my old Bundeswehr uniform and parka that I traded away a set of BDUs and a field jacket for during my week with the 223rd Panzergrenadier Battalion, 1st Gebirgsjäger Division back in 1984. I wonder where my old guide Manfred Fischer is these days...

The Gebirgsjäger are still a elite unit of the Budeswehr. Still carrying the Edelweiß on their field caps.
Had a training camp with one of their companies back in '99. Sigh...
