Not gonna lie, Kari. I’m debating the merits of cracking open that cowl so I can paint that in the motor HAHAHAAAAAA!!!

You know that you want to....

Very nice that your wife dressed up as Amelia Earhart.... I probably would have suggested Pancho Barnes if I had been in your place... :hmm:

While Mrs. Kenny X relaxed in the bath, I got some time to give BIG BIRD some love. Sidewalls are done and ready for detailing!

I love that sandy, khaki gray. Looks more brown than it actually is, in the photo. Still getting the hang of iPhone photo editing.

Also, listening to this:

OOOOOH MAAAAAAN!!! Now that I’d like to see! Can I have my own, personal tank!!?? Or OOOH! How about a 70’s Ford Econoline van modified with tank tread instead of wheels!? Good Times Econotank!!!!

Imagination is a great thing.

Okay, so speaking of, I got some time this morning during a teleconference to start picking out the details and doing the highlights on the cockpit sidewalls. Here’s a shot for ya:

This will later be dirtied-up with a wash, and pigments. I may add very subtle silver chipping with the pencil but I’m holding off on that at the moment. I want to see how the actual “real” chipping I’m planning for the floor works out. If it needs some chipping on the sidewalls for balance then I’ll carefully add that later.

I think it looks nice so far.

This here’s the first song of the day:

Tomorrow’s the last day of school where Mrs. Kenny X teaches. Every year they do a big pep rally at the end of school where they honor all the kids who kicked ass academically and with their art (she teaches at an arts academy). There’s always a theme. Last year it was Star Wars. This year- American History. And all the teachers get to wear costumes for the rally.

My wife was having trouble thinking-up a costume. I suggested Amelia Airhart, and she liked the idea! So that’s who she dressed-up as. I had her get a photo so I could post it here, figured you guys would get a kick out of it.

Very cool! But is no one going to say anything about the male legs behind her that have no body??
