If you do the dry brushed highlights before the final flat coat, make sure there is a good amount of contrast in your lightened version of the base color. The final Matt coat will tone that down and reduce the contrast.

Personally, I would do the drybrushing after the dullcoat. It's simpler that way for me. Then again, I only build small scale stuff....

I prefer to do my dry brushed highlights after the flat coat, but before final weathering. But there is always more than one approach.

Fascinating discussion, gents... I will be visiting the Los Angeles National Cemetery tomorrow to observe Memorial Day. Starting at 7:00 p.m. the Roll Call of Honor will begin to recognize the 6600 WWI Veterans laid to rest at the LA National Cemetery. Over three events; Veterans Day 2017, Memorial Day 2018 and Veterans Day 2018, each Veterans name will be read to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of WW I.

That is excellent Bruce. Tomorrow I will be walking down to the Queen of Heaven cemetery around the corner and a little down the street from my house for the Memorial Day Mass being said there at 10:00AM in honor of our Veterans. It's been my tradition for at least 10 years.

I hope all is well. For all. I took a detail shot of Sprue C to kind of relight my interest a little. Also I am wondering how do you fellas store small pieces? There are tons of small pieces; and they are already popping off sprues due to handling them so I need a new system. I am thinking about some kind of crafting bead carry case or plastic pill case so I may corral these wanderers! Any ideas?

The little “to go” condiment containers with lids are perfect for small parts that pop off the sprues. Zip lock snack bags are another good option. For teeny tiny parts put them on a piece of masking tape first...

I was going to suggest the same as Carlos. Your idea of a pill case also works. Very nice shots too. I do need to post my pics here of any progress I make.
