Just out of curiosity, has anyone built this kit before? It’s kinda vague on where exactly the main gear legs attach.

I have not built this kit but I DID hear the question! Sorry for not being able to help. I really hate vague fitting landing gear!

No worries John. I'm working on figuring it out.

Sorry partner... I’m still waiting to add an Academy F-4 to my stash.

No worries.

What pissed me off is that I posted the question over at ARC. The thread has 135 views and no one answered.

Not even a wisenheimer reply? Wow!

That sounds typical of ARC. If you’re not part of the “in crowd” there, crickets.... and I’ve seen a few builds of that kit there, so it’s not like nobody knows...

Wish I could help but I know nothing about the kit or most jet aircraft to begin with.

Brent, the only alignment tip I found so far was from Greg Wise, and I am certain you have seen this:
The main landing gear and gear bays were built up next, this consisted of framing up the sidewall structure boxes and adding the gear legs. I used the bottom wing as a jig to ensure the correct angle position. As a personal building practice, I did not add the gear legs at this point. Happy so far I glued the main gear bay framework into place and added the speed brake wells. Before closing up the wing assembly several holes need to be opened in the bottom wing halve and a few more in the top wing halves. Next up was the burner cans and intakes.
:hmm:

I made a comment about not getting answers and then all of a sudden people posted what I needed. Go figure.
