One of the last things I managed to do was break the tail wheel.

Just finished surgery to cut out the panels and stub of the strut. Better pics when I find the camera...these were done with the one on the computer.

I had ordered a replacement from Revell back when you could. I intended to use it to make a copy, but that isn't going to happen. IF I can find that box of items (mold material, casting material, tail wheel...) I'll try to put it all back together. Can't find it? I guess I'll swipe the one from the other Ventura kit I have.
If you have another Ventura kit - could you not make a copy of that? :hmm:

Great to see this back on the bench Lyle.

I do have another kit. I may yet try to make some copies. I'm sure that they will be needed when it gets built.

I figured out why the build stalled oh, so long ago. Fitting some very fiddly bits inside the clear, but masked, nose.

Does plastic shrink? Masked the canopy some time ago. Went to attach it and it is just a smidge too narrow. Glued the starboard side - letting that sit for a sit. Then I will try a bit of slight pressure to widen it so that the port side can be glued.

Not sure about painting yet. I've ordered one of the paint shakers (as seen on SPAM). My guess is every jar I have will need a bit of shaking.

When I find my camera (it is upstairs somewhere), there may be some pictures.

Soon there will be

This looks a bit better. The surface scratches will be buffed out. Pulled the canopy off and re-glued it. Still a bit of "shrinkage" (it is cold outside) so, I applied some sanding stick therapy.
