The tough part will be finding the right consistency with your paint. Forget the slowly-establishing-a-color-with-multiple-thin-coats approach. You need a pigment-rich paint that will cover in one pass. Slow-drying so that your airbrush doesn't develop tip-dry and start spitting. Enamel might be a good choice for the RLM 65 mottle.

Thanks guys, I hope that I will be able to pull this scheme off I think the meander schemes are always really cool. Practiced a bit today with my Iwata eclipse, I changed it over to the .5mm from .35mm a few years ago but can still get a nice tight line with it. I'm going to be using life color paints acrylic for this build. Thinned 1:1 with their thinner I'm getting a nice line. I'm not a fan of enamel and don't like spraying it, always felt I had more control with acrylic too. Hope to be in the spray booth by the weekend so stay tuned.

Really that’s the only way- practice, practice, practice. Rehearse where it does not matter to whee you get the feel down, then work on your plane.

Thanks Kari

Got some more work done on the Storch. For one she had been painted Three times before I got to where I was ok with the paint job. I used Life Color paints on this build going to be the last time I use these too. It seems like all my jars of them are going bad and getting big clumps in them. Going to try out AK real color paint for the next build.

After the paint went down it got two coats of clear gloss and the kit decals put down. Last time I use Tamiya decals they are always way thick even after three coats of micro sol I still got some silvering.

Got her up on her feet and two coats of Mr. Super Clear Flat sprayed on

Next up paint touch ups along the window frames and weathering

Clint—I admire your integrity almost as much as that finish, sir! The third time was the charm! I think the color choices of the engine really work as well. Great job!!

:headbang: I'm still not to happy with the camo it's not my best work for sure. In fact other than building and painting the engine I haven't been feeling the mojo with this build but I won't let it go to the shelf of doom. Also after pulling off the rest of the camo masks I have gotten some frosting on the round machine gun port. I'm not sure what I'm going to do just yet.
