I like the Gunze RAF colors. They are what I used on my old Airfix Hurricane many years back.

I've got a couple of stalled projects on the bench as well and I like the idea of a Shelf Queen GB here. Dunno about the time frame as far as January goes for me because I've gotta get started on my 1980 Malibu project. I'd really like to show that at the Nats next year.

Thanks so much, Mustang. I am doing things in fits and spurts these days. The air smells like charcoal and my apartment stinks of that rotten bananas latex smell of Primer Bonder paint. I could basically airbrush inside here and I don’t know if I would notice. I have used up four jumbo boxes of baking soda in an attempt to remove the smell from the carpet.... Take General Lee to the Nats too.

Bruce, I'd say the colors match almost perfectly. Nice choice.

For the Shelf Queen Group Build, I was only thinking starting it in January would give everyone a good start time and last a year. That way we can all see how many Shelf Queens we got over the finish line by next year. The final decision is up to everyone else. Joe, I would think that you could still do the Malibu project while working slowly on some Shelf Queens as a break from the Malibu project. Still, you know your building process better than I.

Come to think of it, this could be an annual thing too...

Bruce, I'm sorry that the apartment smells so bad. I do hope with the weather cooling down. you could air it out more often while using more baking soda. I think I'll go invest in Arm and Hammer now.... Still, if you want a chance to escape it and are off on Friday and Saturday, you could come on down to Hobby Day and enjoy some building time with me and a few other model builders.

Mark, is hobby day this weekend or next weekend?

I’m digging the results from the paint test. You always seem to put up stuff that makes me want to become a Gunze convert

In particular- I like that green quote a lot. I’d say you’re zeroing-in on your goal very, very well. And in 1:72 that will look most lovely.
