If you've ever lived in Texas (or any SUPER humid state), you'll know how much of a pain in butt the heat and humidity are on painting. Started the gloss coat on the deck and, yeah, got an uneven coat and not enough of a gloss. I'll let it dry till Friday and try again.

What airbrush are you using Mike?

Using my Iwata Neo with a .35 needle. I also realized that I didn't thin it some like I normally do.

Yeah I don’t care for airbrushing in rainy or humid weather. I’m curious how that will be here in AZ when the monsoon season hits in a couple of months.

No airbrushing in rainy or humid weather. Well crap. I'd never airbrush then!

Here were I live, right between the North Sea and the German Sea, humidity is seldomly below 50% RH. But at the same time temperatures are moderate between 70 and 80 F during the summer months.
That's why I made the transition to laquer paints for AB work a few years ago. They also do react to high humidity, but rather mildly in comparison to water or alcohol based acrylic paints.

I usually don't have issues airbrushing in summer since my bench is in my cellar where it's constantly cool with zero humidity. Rattle can spray sessions is usually done outdoors and to left to dry in the sun. The missus hates the smell in garage if I bring it in to dry.

Very similar to where I was in Huntington Beach, except a bit warmer in July & August.

I hope everything works out well with the redo, Mike. That’s quite a bit of surface to cover in a single pass. My pops used to run a dehumidifier in the hobby room slash basement. That seemed to help him. This was back in Pennsylvania so I don’t know if the humidity qualifies as wet as your area, though. Good luck!

Well it didn't help that our AC in the house was out too. I'm sure I'll get it taken care of tomorrow.
