Ken! Your work is amazing. We take good with the bad with the good or in dramatic terms there is usually a positive experience yet to come for you, for us all. So, I thank you most humbly and also most sincerely. Your work and words continually fuel what’s part of my drive to build models. I think I will stop to see your work wherever you post it wherever I am. Now I need to finesse the edges and assemble the cockpit!

I wrote Marc Tyler at Immense Miniatures concerning a figure. He does incredible figure sculpts for slot car models.

What the heck is this!? Time to open a window.

Supposed to be “Nice work!”...I think.

Do watch for sink holes on the prop blades, prop hub, tail wheel fairing, and landing gear pieces.

Bruce, the figure will really set this apart. Looking great! Now if only I could get my mojo flowing again like you have, I could actually get something done. I can't wait to see more of this Bruce, keep it coming!

Duke! Duke! Duke! (Lyle, Tom and Carlos)

I like the feeling of the photo of Robert Hall standing in the cockpit post victory very much! This will be what I am aiming to recreate here, with the mud on the airframe, and wheels, and that great stance by Hall with a confidence and a pure joy of winning. Based on Marc’s suggestions, I ordered the Dan Gurney figure with arms crossed and the civilian heads. And heads up to any 1/32 builders: his figures would work extremely well with WWI subjects.

In the previous photo, you can see the cockpit canopy on the ground just behind the front spat.
