Interesting Clint, I've had nothing but success with Model Master. That's why I'm sad to see them go.
I hear ya Mark. Aside from shelf life issues, I’ve had nothing but success when airbrushing Model Master enamels. Discontinuing their product line really is a loss for us modelers.

I'm in agreement with both of you guys. Almost ALL of my paints are MM so I use the heck out of em. I'll use all of it till it's gone and switch over to something I guess. Not really fired up about making the switch but hey.......life's moving onward.

Not a whole lot of visual progress but I've been working on this pit since last week. No PE or added details as of yet in the way of parts but here we are so far.

Joe I was a MM guy forever. I've been using the new AK lacquers a bit lately. What a great product. So easy to spray and dries very quickly

I hear what your saying about MM enamels, I started experimenting with Humbrol enamels and have had good luck with them. I did run across a hobby shop still selling some of the MM enamel RLM colors. I snatched up as many as I could. Progress on your bird is looking fantastic Joe! I look forward to seeing more of this one soon

Great detail painting as always! Switching paints might be difficult but you may like the change. Lacquer-based acrylics like AK Real Colors, Mr Hobby Aqueous (Gunze) and Tamiya have a great advantage over enamels in their quick drying time. It really pushes your modeling along.

It might be photo or the shade of paint but the cockpit color looks a bit light. Should be Dark Grey RLM 66.

Johnny and John: I may indeed make the switch to AK. I've heard alot of good stuff about it and being a lacquer based product means it should dry pretty quickly.

Brent: Thanks for the suggestions and the good word brother.

John: I always appreciate you comments and input. The color is a little darker than what's shown here. I had my camera set on just a tad brighter picture as to show all the details without too much shadowing. The color is actually closer to what you have in the photo.

Better start stocking up on Model Master paints at Hobby Lobby before the 40% ends forever come February 28th.

One bottle of paint per coupon... that’s not really worth the cost of gas of going daily for stocking up.

Take the wife with you. if you use different payment methods, you can use that coupon again. pay cash, charge one, wife pays cash and uses a diff credit card.
