How about a shim or two of some strip styrene in that area? Sand to insure proper fit, then paint appropriately.

I don't think it'll be seen with the canopy closed unless you really look hard at that spot.

Most of the fuselage is now glued up. Just have a couple of bottom inserts to add.

Got the two main resin pieces glued on. The rest are mostly antennas and air scoops. I forgot to sand away some spots on the bottom that I'll have to get to next.
