Lyle, Mike, Bruce, and Stuart, thank you one and all for your kind comments.

Mike, I’d have to look at the label to see what brand this paint is, but I found it at a gamer store. It’s quite translucent and requires multiple coats over a black base to get the proper look. The main problem that I’ve found with the paint is that it doesn’t mix up too well and clumps tend to show up unexpectedly. But after this project I think that I’m getting a handle on them.

Today I finished up painting the tracks and got a pin wash applied on the upper surfaces…

The M113 family can do most anything that can be done by an AFV… :lashed:

Very nice. Not too often we see this built up.

Thanks Tom. You’re quite right on these being seldom seen built as models. Which is too bad as they were fairly numerous in service from the late 80’s to mid 90’s.

I am waiting for that kit… but I’ll want to modify it into an A2 variant and make it from my old unit like when they were in Panama.

Looking Good Carlos.

I must build me a M113 one day - It's a cool looking AFV. I know it's not the most accurate, but I'd to build the Tamiya Vietnam version to go with my M48.
