Thanks everyone! The trick so far is only spending a few hours on it at a time. If I try to spend anymore than that I'm going to get frustrated. I have already thought about throwing in the towel, but then that would be a waste of PE, paint, and my time. So I'm just going to keep trudging along.

I got the canopies glued in yesterday. Still need to lay down some zinc chromate green on them.

Image

Used some masking tape to cover the hole in the front canopy, since the piece that goes there is undersized by quite a bit. Hopefully not noticeable once it's glued on open.

Those little windows were a pain in the rear. I had to file them down in a few places to get them to fit in there. Wish I would of put them in before putting the fuselage halves together, would of been a little easier.

Almost to the point where I can start putty, sand, prime, repeat on the fuselage.

It’s coming along quite well. You hit a snag, deal with it, then move forward. No need to rush it and ruin the flow.

Oh HELL no!! Not now. In addition to all of the wasted paint and other materials and that's NOT to mention your time, you've got all of us here watching "the magic". Cmon now....you've got this. :shoutout: :shoutout: :shoutout:

I see you’re building this bird without the top gun turrent. Nice!

Great work. A lot of courage and determination here for sure. I have this one and a resin pit from Lone Star Models, but I've heard so many horror stories about it that it is WAY down the list to be done. Keep it coming.

Thanks! Pretty much just picking at it here and there when I get time.

 Thanks for the vote of confidence! I'll get there, it's just going to take a long while, lol.

Yep, it'll be "Jukin Judy".

Thanks! It's definitely pretty rough around the edges. But I think its doable. I just need to take it nice and slow so I don't get frustrated with it.

Thank you! Just picking away at it, lol.

Engines finished up. I didn't bother with the spark plug leads. I was having issues with the PE, and opted to not waste any patience on them. Time can be better spent elsewhere on this kit. You wouldn't really see the leads anyway.

Image

The one thing I will forget nine times out of ten. To spray the inside canopy frame color before I put primer on it. Made sure to remember this time.

Image

A coat of primer to see where I'm at. I have my work cut out for me on the fuselage.

Image

Image

I did forget to install a PE piece in the booms before putting them together. :headslap: So I had to split them back open with a hobby knife. I hate having to pay attention to two different sets of instructions, lol. I'm going to work on the seams on these, do some rescribing, then attach them to the wings, and work on the horrid seams between the booms and wings.

Image

I was planning on taking down the Christmas stuff in the house tomorrow, but I may just put that off until Wednesday so I can get some time at the bench tomorrow.
