Well, there is the Monogram 1/72 B-52/X-15 kit that one could start with. And perhaps there are more of these later X-planes in 1/72. Or a B-29 with the Tamiya X-1 for where it all began...

The 6MDM... really great opening credits. Thinking how my Convair would look combined with a B-29...
BTW I ordered today Airfix' s OEW 5894 (Hot Shots Gnat). Movie models is a nice topic. I am still looking for the S-58T nose to do Mimi from Riptide TV series...
Yesterday night I have (almost) finished the cockpit, which is really pretty small. The entire bird is in the size of a Me 163 Komet…. So maybe you can imagine. Tonight I will close both wing/fuselage-halfs.
Also yesterday a personal dream came true… A Dornier Do-27 Safari arrived. It was the plane of a famous German wildlife cameraman. Identifaction code was D-ENTE (Ente = duck) and I think it shows up with a impressive zebra paint scheme.

LOL! I love that Dornier! Fantastic! I can't wait to see that built. The smaller plane is coming along nicely too. Way to go Marius!
