Nice catches Stuart, especially that Mark 7 nuclear bomb!

:boom:

In scale 1/72, that cannot be more than a few cm big? :hmm:

Nice score Stuart. One of those Mk.7 A-bombs comes with the Monogram Thunderstreak kit. I think that their F-84G also includes one also.

Pay no attention to the fact that I put the bomb on the cart upside down. The retractable fin is the bottom side of the bomb… :headslap:

Nice! I'd have to do a "Death Rattlers" jet.

Now that's a stunning build Carlos! I have to say I think the Thunderstreak is a cracking looking aircraft, much nicer than the Sabre.

I think I did know about the Monogram kit including the mk.7. I think in the deep dark recesses of my mind that's what gave me the idea. I've always found the US idea of fitting a Nuc to a single seat fighter fascinating, talk about a one way trip!

Some of the parts had a few mold flaws. I contacted Mike Reeves, the owner, and he's sending me a new set after seeing the pics.

Thanks Stuart! I have a morbid fascination with all of the tac nuke stuff myself… as well as the chemical warfare side of things… we spent so much time training for all that stuff back in the Cold War.

I can imagine - and morbid curiosity is right, same here. I've been reading up on some of history of the British Nuclear deterrent that I wasn't previously aware of. I also have a full set of V-bombers to build at some point.

The Nuc's on the Tactical aircraft is really interesting - we didn't really have that over here from what I can see. The smallest aircraft we had carrying them at that time period was the Canberra. I don't think we had anything small enough to fit on the likes of the Hunter.
