This is an early short run kit by MPM. I had some difficulties with the canopy but other then that it was an easy build. Painting has been done with Duplicolor spray cans and an Humbrol flat finish. The flat is a bit more dull then I would have liked so I might try polishing it with cloth (thanks for the tip Fermis!).

I did some work on the seat and with this bubble canopy it really pays off. The colour difference on the anti glare panel is there to accentuate the moveable part: where the hook is.

I especially like the model posed on top of a credit card.

In order to realize the full potential of that MPM kit, displaying it next to the carrier aircraft would be desirable.

On the other hand, you might need to add another room to your display area if you built a Monogram B-36.

Do you have any other 1/72 scale kits of experimental aircraft in your stash or did you purchase the MPM kit because you either liked the real aircraft or just wanted a small, unusual model?

I like experimental aircraft. Other prototypes in my collection are X-29, S-37, XP-77, DFS 194, He-176 etc etc. And more in the stash like xp-56, Bisnovat 5, baynes bat, etc. so, yes, I like strange aircraft.

Now that was an unusual aircraft and one which caught on fire nearly as much as a German He 177.

I have been switching over to 1/72 scale and am slowly acquiring kits of experimental aircraft.

Just purchased a book on the Junkers Ju 287 for $7 from a local Half Price books store.
The only problem with buying that book is that I am now tempted to buy a Huma kit of the aircraft.

I look forward to seeing any other experimental aircraft kits you complete.

Well, I have the airmodel vacform kit of the Ju-287 in the stash. But do not expect a WIP tread anytime soon.

Unless you prefer to work with vacforms, I must presume the Huma kit would be a quicker build.

I love your Goblin and want to gobble it up...
