The Demon is a fighter build for the Navy, it has some big problems, the biggest was a problem to have flameouts when starting from carriers with catapult, with only one engine you loose the aircraft. It was not a popular bird by the pilots.

For a long time the grand phoenix kit was the only kit, short run with mixed material, lots of resin and PE parts, not so easy to build and with big gaps. Then came the Hobbyboss and all parts are better detai, better than the resin parts, with a good fit but with a mix of all version parts, so you should reffer the pictures and documents.

The avionic box is from aires and is nice detailed.

Lovely builds again - I've always liked the F3H ever since I read a build article in AMW a few years ago and these are great, Nicely built, nicely painted & weather - what's not to like! ANd your pilots always seen to turn out nicely too.

Nice work on a forgotten naval fighter... not that the Demon was such a memorable aircraft to begin with... except for those poor souls who had to try to fly it. But between the Demon and the Voodoo, the foundation for greatness was laid... The Phantom II. I do love the markings that you chose here.
