It's not done, but it's done. Until I can find or have cast the extra missing parts, I'm going to call this finished and move on. This was one of my Modeling New Years Resolutions to finish
1/72 scale Heller DC-6 done in American Airlines livery and painted with Alclad paints:
That's all for now. I hope to have a few more finished soon, but it may be awhile before I can get them posted. Meanwhile, thanks for looking in, comments are welcome.

I'm going to call this one a nice one. Impeccable.
Honestly, we need more vintage airliners.
But...
Only two pics of that beauty? C'mon...

That is a beautiful job! Love the classic prop-liners.

Very nice work my friend! My dad would love that build, he used to work for American back when they flew those! What parts are missing?

Thanks for the awesome replies guys. This is a very large plane in 1/72 scale; although not quite as large as say a B-36 or B-52. Sometimes that size made it difficult to get this done.
Carlos, it is missing one main wheel, about four or five gear doors, and three or four landing gear strut pieces. Someday I hope to find or replace everything and really call this done. If you're going to be at IPMS tonight, I'll have it there.

Thanks Fermis! That really means a lot to mew coming from you. I have the military version of this same aircraft I hope to start soon. Now that I know better how to do this plane, it should turn out better.

Unfortunately my friend, my schedule will keep me away from IPMS and AMPS until May. I will see what you bring in for us then.
