1/48 Trumpy T-38

Finally finished this one off. Started it last Summer and it sat idle for many months. I painted it a few weeks ago, in "Grape" aggressor scheme, but hated it. So, I went with the boxart scheme. I had originally intended to go with canopies closed, but the canopy doesn't look quite right...just a little short, so I changed out some parts and opened 'er up.
Overall....not a bad kit, but the parts breakdown means a TON of rescribing for all those tiny panels on the belly centerline. I'd give it an "OK".

Is that HO in a black scheme? Or dark blue???

I got to climb all over one of these in ROTC, We took a squadron trip down to Vance.

That slim lines in a black suit is a real eyecatcher. It lets the panellines disappear a bit, though.

Vance AFB, Enid, OK. Its a pilot training base--lots of T-6s, T-1s, T-38s all buzzing around

I've always loved the elegant sleek lines of the Talon.
And the black livery truly emphasises the Talon's poshness. She's a cutie.

That Talon black goes very well with the ABU.
